Merida and Tulum, Feb 2010

Took a quick trip to the Yucatan Peninsula; which is where the more popular beach resorts like Cancun and Playa Del Carmen are located. We decided to go off the beaten path to Merida, which is a city in the center of the Yucatan peninsula.

Travel Tip
Go to off beat destinations they are quite exemplary in their own ways

We rented a car in Cancun, and drove over to Merida, using a toll road which was a little expensive, but at least you can make good time. I believe we drove for 2-3hrs from Cancun to get to Merida, which is a large, clean city.
