Turks & Caicos, May 2011

By Ali Karim

Decided to do a beach vacation for Dilshad’s birthday, and since the Club Med here had a good deal, we decided to check out the Turks & Caicos island.  This set of 40 islands were British colonies, and have remained as British Overseas territory.

Flew from Miami and landed in Providenciales, the largest island. Being a British colony, they all speak English here which meant we could easily communicate.

The Club Med is an older property, but the staff and activities etc more than made up for this. The Resort facilities were very good, and we did sailing, diving, and generally having a good time on the beach.

The beach has to be the best beach we have ever been to; soft white sand, and crystal clear water to well over 6ft. There were not many waves due to the coral reef surrounding the island, and that was the only minor drawback.

See pics below.

No exploring this trip, only chilling 🙂

White soft sand, crystal clear turquoise waters, and hardly any waves at all

Exercises on the ocean

We did a lot of sailing

Food was excellent for every meal.

I was suggested this blog by my cousin. I am not sure whether this post is written by him as nobody else know such details. You are incredible! Thanks!
